Taking my landlord to court for not protecting my deposit

If your deposit was not protected (or your landlord didn’t protect it for 30 days) you can make a claim against them and take them to court. In most cases the claim itself is satisfactory for a landlord to settle and you will receive between 1 – 3x your deposit back.

If they don’t settle then Deposit Hero are happy to take them to court on your behalf.
